Dehra Dun Hills School was registered in 1860 by Indian Societies Registration as a co-educational school. The Dehra Dun Hills Academy was established in 1957 as The Blue Bird School, later it became bigger and better and thus had to be shifted to another location. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
